Implant Supported Fixed Bridges
Implant-supported bridges are very similar to traditional bridges. However, instead of being supported by dental crowns placed over adjacent teeth, implant-supported bridges attach to small titanium posts embedded in the jaw. The number of posts placed will depend on the size of the bridge. Missing teeth are replaced with a full dental bridge using only four or six implants in each jaw. You may have heard of this procedure as an “all-on-4” or “all-on-6” dental implant-based reconstruction. These dental implants can safely support a whole arch of permanent, natural looking artificial teeth.
